Does Hydrogen Peroxide react with Silver ?

Hydrogen peroxide and silver really do react that way. Hydrogen peroxide’s chemical formula is H2O2. When it comes into contact with silver, the silver acts as a catalyst. The reaction will free the extra oxygen atom to produce water, and also generates a lot of heat.

What are antiscalant chemicals ?  

Antiscalants are a family of chemicals designed to inhibit the formation and precipitation of crystallized mineral salts that form scale.
Antiscalant chemicals are used to prevent the scaling & fouling of the RO membranes. Scale may consist of mineral fouling such as calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, silica, calcium fluoride, and strontium sulfate.  GRAMICID-102 Antiscalant is useful for iron & silica rich feed water, which helps to prevent iron fouling in the R.O membrane.

What is an Industrial Descaler ?

An industrial descaler is typically a chemical substance used to remove or dissolve calcium carbonate, limescale, rust and other mineral deposits from various equipment that comes into contact with water forming deposits. What is a descaling chemical ?

The Ph of Antiscalant can range from being acidic around 2 to basic around 12-13.

The recommended dosage would be 2-5 ppm of Gramicid-101 or Gramicid-102 depending on the quality of water.

How to add minerals with distilled water to make it drinkable ? 

Distilled water contains no minerals and trace elements. One way to increase its mineral content is to mix it with FSSAI / Food Grade Calcium Chloride, Magenesium Sulphate, Potassium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Carbonate.

What are the disadvantages of chlorine dioxide as a disinfectant ?

Chlorine dioxide decomposes when it comes in contact with sunlight hence it is a very unstable substance. Disadvantage is that during chlorine dioxide production processes, large amounts of chlorine are formed. Free chlorine reacts with organic matter to form halogenated disinfection byproducts. How does chlorine damage RO Membranes ?

In Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, membranes are easily damaged by chlorine in the feed water. Chlorine damage to the membrane can lead to lower salt rejection and poor-quality permeate, which in turn could result in costly membrane replacement and down-time. What are the advantages and disadvantages of chlorine sanitizer ?

Chlorine is used to disinfect water and to clean swimming pools. It is used regularly in swimming pools and helps clean all the germs out in the water.

An anti-scaling agent is one that protects against scaling. A descaling agent is a chemical that removes scale. Anti-scaling may be an important topic but descaling is more significant. Removal of scale is a problem for millions of households and business worldwide. We recomment GRAMICID-102 for efficient results to prevent from scale formation.

What is the pH of Antiscalant ?

What is the method for dosing of  RO antiscalant? 

DOSING OF RO ANTISCALANT GRAMICID-101

Dosing of GRAMICID-101 depends on TDS of Raw water

NOTE:  If the TDS is above 500ppm we would suggest to for GRAMICID-102

GRAMICID-102 is specially formulated for silica inhibition. (Also Inhibits Iron)  Dosage: 2-5ppm

There may be some variation in the procedure depending on the system condition.

What is the role of sodium metabisulfite in RO system ?

The function of SMBS is use to neutralize the action of disinfectant before entering RO Membrane as some disinfectant damage the RO Membrane if they enter RO Membrane. SMBS used should be food grade, as only food grade SMBS will be free of microbes and any foreign particles. We suggest the use of PYORAA-SMBS manufactured by U.S.Steriles

What CIP chemicals should be used for cleaning RO Membrane ?

RO Membrane should be cleaned with Alkaline based Cleaner as well as Acidic Base Cleaner for removing organic and inorganic scaling from RO Membrane.
You can use our product GRAMICID-121 ( Alkaline Cleaner ) and GRAMICID-122 ( Acidic Cleaner ). We also suggest to use Biocide after doing cleaning with alkaline cleaner and acidic cleaner for removing fouling and biological growth in RO Membrane
